RAM is proud to serve as the host site for the Canine Companions for Independence 2013 DOGFEST WALK ‘N ROLL event. Celebrate the community of people and dogs that make it possible for Canine Companions to show that the most advanced technology capable of transforming the lives of people with disabilities has a cold nose and a warm heart. Canine Companions DogFest Walk ‘n Roll will engage communities across the country in an event that raises money to support the mission, recruits volunteers to help propel the mission, and educates the public about the organization’s life-changing work of providing highly-trained service dogs to people with disabilities. First came Black Friday, then Cyber Monday, now a heightened awareness regarding the importance of supporting locally owned, small business has brought us SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY, a growing trend across the nation aimed at kicking off the holiday shopping season by supporting the local economy. In a RAM vendor survey conducted at the end of the 2012 season, 2012’s Small Business Saturday was cited as the day that resulted in the highest sales among our vendors, second only behind OPENING DAY, historically the Market’s most highly attended day. Work your way through your gift-giving list while showing you support for the growing national trend to shop small by buying from the 162 vendors who will be in the Market on Thanksgiving weekend.

New in the 2012 season, HOLIDAZZLE! is Northeast Florida’s newest holiday experience for the entire family! With extended holiday shopping hours until 9pm, this nighttime RAM experience with holiday lights and short format Christmas classics (think How the Grinch Stole Christmas) on a 32’ big screen on the River Stage, is a truly unique event on the river. Winter brews, wine and holiday cocktails (think eggnog and peppermint schnapps) are available for the grown-ups with hot chocolate and other treats available for the kids. Photos with Santa, strolling carolers and gift wrapping stations complete the festive experience.
