At Unity Plaza, we are teaming up with V.S.A.G. (the founders of Etsy and The Cheesecake Factory among many successful brands) who conceptualized the 918F Street indoor programming space for LivingSocial in Washington DC. Our purpose is to create a similar yet more intimate concept for talented, local professionals to host original experiences like unique cooking classes, painting & wine, live music, and so much more.
In the words of project visionary and guest blogger, Alex Coley: “Unity Plaza’s mixed use event space will be a dynamic community gathering space programmed with a constant stream of exciting, enlightening and invigorating activities. For example, experiences such as Sumo & Sushi (a combined hour of sushi lessons and sumo wrestling demonstration!) and Liquid Courage (wine tasting and sommelier instruction taking place during still-life painting class) are on the calendar. Several times each week the Unity Plaza programming team will bring lively, entertaining and electrifying happenings to this space to keep you constantly learning and laughing – and ultimately bring together Jacksonville’s cultural creatives.”
This indoor “flex space” needs a name and, as always, I am very interested in the community’s ideas. Please visit the 918F Street Living Social website below and fire away with your thoughts to email@example.com.
