Vision. Purpose. Inspiration. Joy.
Welcome to a cause driven, mission-based public gathering space dedicated to elevating Jacksonville by uplifting its citizens individually to strengthen the community as a whole.
By providing access to thousands of free events in arts and culture, mind, body and spirit wellness, and community engagement, Unity Plaza will nurture our city and all of its’ people. Based on the successful models of Bryant Park in New York City and Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland, Unity Plaza, in collaboration with hundreds of our region’s nonprofit organizations, will spur a revival of Jacksonville’s unban core.
According to Alex Coley, Hallmark Partners co-founder and Unity Plaza land donor, “In their own individual ways, both Bryant Part and Pioneer Square are unique expressions of the communities that gave birth to them and both continue to reinvent and re-energize their cities every single day. There is a history and a journey associated with each of these special places including a vision, stewards and a collective will resulting in enhanced communities. Great cities all have these iconic places that provide the community with a venue for gathering and being their best.”
Unity Plaza event sponsors and capital improvement donors will have the pleasure of materially investing in the development of Jacksonville’s emerging brand. The events and supportive site assets necessary to deliver the transformative activities planned here hold both an internal and external purpose – to increase civic pride and to underscore to us and our nation the definition of modern-day Jacksonville, Florida.
The status and sustainability of a community lies in the overall well-being of its citizens. Taken together the events and activities described here will establish Jacksonville’s own life-enriching urban park – UPLIFTING, EDUCATING, ENTERTAINING and ELECTRIFYING our commUNITY.
Please join us in writing the next chapter in Jacksonville’s rich history.
